Costa de la Luz
Looking for somewhere different in Spain? Try the relatively little known south-west region known as the Costa de la Luz - the ‘coast of light’.
The area boasts some excellent hotels and villas but remains largely undiscovered by the masses. The Costa de la Luz is famed for its vivid light, beaches, rivers, and estuaries with Tangier in Morocco, Portugal’s Algarve, Seville and Cadiz all within easy reach. But beware that the region is starting to see some growth in visitor numbers, Gary Boyer of of luxury holiday provider Classic Collection, has noted a sales increase of 25% year on year, so it may not remain undoscovered for much longer!
