Cut Down On Excess baggage Charges

Hotels.com have recently conducted research into excess baggage charges and their findings suggest that we waste up to £1.5billion pounds carrying books that remain unread.

The survey found that around a third of British holidaymakers are guilty of packing more books than they read whilst on holiday - averaging at around three books per person - which often results in them being penalised by the airlines with excess baggage charges. Alsion Cooper, Hotel.com’s communications director added “Packing for holiday can be a nightmare and travellers are often getting caught out at check-in when they are over the weight limit”.

The advice from the research suggests we should be more realistic about our reading habits and try not to take more tomes than they are likely to read on holiday.
