Itinerary
Day 1 – Local departure by coach and then on to Belgium for a two or three night stay.
Day 2 – Cologne (included) Enjoy a full day in Cologne, whoe Christmas magic strikes a very festive note with no fewer than six Christmas markets. There is also plenty of entertainment on offer as Christmas approached. – a variety of Christmas concerts, nativity scene displays and a huge ice rink on Heumarkt. You will stay in Cologne until early evening.
Day 3 – (4 day break only) Aachen (included) With its streets and alleys transformed into a festive paradise of lights and colour, and the range of goods on offer at the huge variety of tempting stalls, from grand precious objects down to modest trinkets, its no wonder Aachen has become a must for visitors.
Day 3 – (3 day break) or
Day 4 (4 day break) Bruges (included) En route to Calais we make a short visit to Bruges, with its quaint canals and tempting shops.
Accommodation
You will stay for two or three nights in Liege or Hasselt in a 3 star or 4 star hotel such as the Park Inn, Mercure or Holiday Inn in Liege, or Holiday Inn Hasselt. All hotels will have a lift and bar. All bedrooms will have TV, telephone and hairdryer.
