Itinerary
4 DAY WEEKEND CRUISE
Day 1 – Local departure by coach then on to Remagen in Germany to join the cruise ship, the Rhine Princess, for a three night cruise, light supper included.
Day 2 – Rudesheim and Koblenz - Cruise from Remagen to Oberwesel, then by coach along the river bank to Rudesheim. Visit the Christmas Market or join an optional visit to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum. Continue by coach to Koblenz, where you will rejoin the cruise ship, and where there’s time to enjoy the lively festive spirit of the delightful market. It’s captain’s dinner and party night tonight!! Breakfast, lunch and dinner all included.
Day 3 – Cologne – Cruise from Koblenz to Cologne, where you can explore the city’s colourful Christmas markets. The festive stalls will be overflowing with seasonal bargains and gift ideas. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all included.
Day 4 – Return home, breakfast included.
5 DAY CRUISE BREAK
Day 1 – Local departure by coach then on to Remagen in Germany to join the cruise ship , the Rhine Princess, for a four night cruise, light supper included.
Day 2 – Cruise to Koblenz (included) but there is also the chance to take an optional coach excursion along the Moselle Valley, visiting the riverside village of Alken, where you will enjoy wine tasting at the popular House of Anton Hammes. Return to Koblenz for some free time to enjoy the festive spirit of the Christmas market, before rejoining the ship. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all included.
Day 3 – Cruise to Rudesheim, home of the Drosselgasse, lined with traditional German bars and shops. Explore the Christmas market, or join our optional visit to Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Museum, with its superb collection of self-playing musical instruments. Return to the Rhine Princess for tonight’s captain’s dinner and party night! Breakfast, lunch and dinner all included.
Day 4 – Cruise to charming Cologne, where you can browse the city’s markets, featuring seasonal bargains and plenty of ideas for those last minute Christmas gifts and enjoy the atmosphere in one of the local bars in the old town. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all included.
Day 5 – Journey by coach from Cologne to Calais, then return home. Breakfast included.
Accommodation
The M.S. Rhine Princess cruise ship has onboard facilities located over four decks, and include a large lounge bar with a small dance floow around which the daily entertainment takes place. There is also an outside sun deck, ideal for viewing the passing scenery, and a small quiet lounge with a library.
The ship also has a restaurant and shop with small gifts, souvenirs, postcards and Rhine river maps for sale. Cabins are located on three decks and all have twin beds, TV, telephone and air-conditioning.
