Itinerary
4 Day Weekend Cruise
Day 1 – Local departure by coach and then on to join the cruise ship M.S. Prinses Juliana, in Koblenz for a three night cruise.
Day 2 – Cruise past Bonn to later reach Cologne. You will have plenty of time to explore the city’s fascinating Christmas markets and discover a seasonal treasure trove of bargains and culinary delights. Breakfast included.
Day 3 – Continue the cruise to Dusseldorf, which boasts two main Christmas markets, located in the Old Town and around the Schadowplatz. The wooden huts of the Christmas markets offer a vast selection of festive goods, including woodcarvings and luxury jams. Breakfast included.
Day 4 – By coach from Dusseldorf to Calais, then return home. Breakfast included.
5 Day Cruise Break
Day 1 – Local departure by coach then onwards to join our cruise ship, the M.S. Prinses Juliana in Dusseldorf.
Day 2 – Dusseldorf enjoys a very special charm at this time of year. The scent of mulled wine, gingerbread and connamon cakes lingers around the Christmas market stalls, whilst the chestnut trees on the Konigsallee glitter with a thousand lights. You will have plenty of time for shopping before rejoining the ship for a second night moored in Dusseldorf. Breakfast included.
Day 3 – Cruise to Cologne, and moor for one night. There’s a whole host of markets to explore, each with its own unique character. Start at the cathedral, where brightly decorated booths await. Breakfast included.
Day 4 – Cruise to Andernach, where you will be able to join the optional excursion by coach to Ahrweiler and the Ahr Valley, rejoining the ship in Koblenz. Breakfast included.
Day 5 – Journey to Calais, then return home. Breakfast included.
Accommodation
The M.S. Prinses Juliana is a 3 star standard cruise ship and is exclusively chartered for the Christmas Market Cruises. Onboard facilities include three decks, a sun deck and a lounge, bar and restaurant. All cabins are on the Main Deck and have twin beds and telephone. Each night the ship will moor in a central location of each town and city, allowing you the opportunity to easily visit the main sights and, of course, the Christmas markets.
