The Anne Frank Zentrum is the German partner of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, it reminds visitors of Anne and her diary through various exhibitions and educational programmes. The Jewish Museum Berlin is one of the largest Jewish museums in Europe, it was opened in 2001 and consists of 3 buildings, it provides information of German-Jewish life from 14 historical periods. The Berlin Wall Memorial and Documentation Centre is located on the former border strip, it shows how the border was constructed and what circumstances were like in the divided city.
Berlin offers many dining options from street food stalls to Michelin starred restaurants. A popular go to snack is Currywurst, It is a pork sausage which is steamed and then fried, cut into slices and served with curry ketchup, curry powder and fries or a bread roll. It is popular throughout Germany but mainly in Berlin. The number one restaurant in Berlin according to Tripadvisor is ‘Restaurant Bieberbau’ it was awarded a Michelin star in November 2015 and it serves gourmet dishes.
