Last night (25 October) we hosted a luxury travel event in York at the Wigginton Squash and Social Club. We thank everyone who attended and the evening seemed to be enjoyed by all.
The evening commenced with a presentation by our good friend Julie Nunes of Silversea Cruises, who gave a superb overview of the luxury cruise line’s wonderful ships, itineraries and the benefits of sailing with Silversea Cruises. I know from talking with guests that a number of them had not heard of Silversea Cruises, others were really impressed about all of the inclusions on a Silversea Cruise and the value for money which they provide.
Jon Hardcastle followed Julie and gave an introduction to our guests about ITC Luxury Travel. As John explained, ITC Luxury Travel do not own any product (holidays to you and me) but they have developed great relationships with their hotel partners and suppliersall over the world. And don’t forget their concierge service, who can book exclusive restaurants, arrange romantic evenings including assisting with proposals, and can even get hold of tickets for events that have long since sold out. ITC Luxury Travel really go the extra mile for our guests.
The presentations were rounded off by James Howlett from Collette Escorted Tours. James wowed the audience with some great travel images, including many of his own taken in Canada, which were jaw-dropping. James also introduced the exclusive trip to America’s Music Cities which is being organised with Conexo Travel and The Vale Online. This trip is a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit Nashville, New Orleans and Memphis and get to see everything that has made this part of The States famous for its musical heritage.
So as well as thanking the audience, I would like to sincerely thank our great trade partners, Julie, Jon and James, as well as all of the bar staff and our team who kept glasses filled and provided a constant stream of canapes to our guests. And finally thanks to everyone at Wigginton Squash & Social Club for being such great hosts – nothing was too much trouble for them and we would recommend the venue wholeheartedly.
