TripAdvisor Places York Hotel 3rd Best In Country

Earlier this week The Parisi Hotel in York was revealed to be third best in the UK for service and even reached 16th in Europe! This tremendous accolade came from the online review site TripAdvisor and followed on a fine review by Tina Walsh in the Daily Telegraph.
Parisi Hotel York
It’s no mean feat achieving such a reputation, particularly as in the case of The Parisi Hotel which has only been in the hands of the current owners, Marie and Sophie Scott, for under two years. The hotel in St Denys Road, which is just off Walmgate, was previously The St Denys Hotel; originally the building was a rectory which served the church of the same name opposite the hotel.
The two sisters’ have a strong eco commitment as well as supporting the move to local produce and despite the change of name have kept the tradition of this lovely little part of York; the name Parisi has strong links to local history as it was the name of a local Celtic tribe who habited the area at the same time as the Romans. Here you can discover the reasons the Scott sisters chose the name Parisi.
We even have our own little link to the hotel. Many of you will know our Emma, and she worked at the hotel in it’s previous incarnation of The St Denys Hotel after completing her university degree. Back then Emma said the hotel had huge potential but it just needed some TLC; it would appear that this has been provided by Marie and Sophie.
