Malaysia Honeymoon Destination

Malaysia is a beautiful country full of culture and natural beauty, with 11 states and 2 federal territories (Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya) forming Peninsular Malaysia. This part of Malaysia is separated by the South China Sea from East Malaysia which includes the 2 states (Sabah and Sarawak on the island of Borneo) and a third federal territory, the island of Labuan.

One of the many attractions of Malaysia is the extreme contrasts. Towering skyscrapers look down upon wooden houses built on stilts while five-star hotels sit just metres away from ancient reefs. Great mountains reach dramatically for the sky while their rainforest-clad slopes sweep down to floodplains teeming with forest life. Cool highland hideaways roll down to warm, sandy beaches and rich, humid mangroves.

Other attractions and great places to visit in Malaysia include the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, the tallest twin towers in world! Mount Kinabalu is another place of interest in Malaysia, for those who love climbing and wildlife. Over 600 species of ferns, 326 species of birds, and 100 mammalian species have been identified at Mount Kinabalu and its surroundings. Tioman island has become increasingly popular since 1970 when Time Magazine selected Tioman as one of the world’s most beautiful islands. Tourists have surged to the island ever since, seeking a taste of paradises. The island is surrounded by numerous white coral reefs, making it a haven for scuba divers while the interior is densely forested.

Because of the many influences from other cultures and religions from countries such as China and India, Malaysia is a place rich in culture, and the wonderful cuisine reflects the diversity of the country. The streets are full of restaurants serving the local delicacies, so you will be spoilt for choice of places to eat.

For the perfect holiday full of surprises, culture and great food, the time is now, the place is Malaysia.
