Julian Sturdy MP Visits Conexo Travel in Haxby

It was heartening to receive a visit on Friday 14 May 2021 from Julian Sturdy MP for York Outer, and to hear the actions he is taking to support the travel sector. David met with Julian for an hour to discuss the issues facing the travel industry, and the need for sector specific support, as well as a more realistic approach to opening up travel. Julian is planning to meet with Kwasi Kwarteng, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to discuss how the government can support the travel industry.

We are grateful for our local MP's unequivocal backing and appreciation of the difficulties facing independent travel agencies like ours, and for taking the time out to visit us.
