Europe's Best Beaches – and Where to Stay Next to Them
Ten of Europe's most-loved beaches from Tripadvisor's Travellers' Choice awards, each paired with a nearby hotel you can book online with Conexo Travel.
Book online for our best available prices – no call neededEvery year, Tripadvisor's Travellers' Choice Best of the Best awards rank the world's top beaches using a full year of real traveller reviews. The 2026 list is full of places we already know and love.
We've gone through the list and picked out the beaches you can reach easily on a package holiday, then matched each one with a hotel close by that you can book online with us. Two of our picks come from outside the 2026 list – a former award winner and a long-time traveller favourite.
So whether you're dreaming of golden cliffs in the Algarve, giant sand dunes in Gran Canaria or a turquoise lagoon in Turkey, here's where to go and where to stay.
1 Praia da Falésia
Algarve, Portugal
Praia da Falésia is one of the Algarve's most striking beaches, a long stretch of golden sand backed by red, orange and white cliffs. It runs for several kilometres, so even in high summer there's room to find your own spot, and the clear water is great for swimming.
A walk along the shoreline at sunset, with the cliffs glowing behind you, is one of the best things you can do on an Algarve holiday.
Just a few minutes' walk from the beach, on the clifftops above Praia da Falésia near Albufeira.

Majorca, Spain
On Majorca's north coast, Platja de Muro is a long sweep of soft white sand with shallow, calm water that feels almost Caribbean. The sea stays shallow a long way out, which makes it a favourite with families.
Behind the beach are pine trees and the S'Albufera nature reserve, and the lively resort of Alcudia is close by.
